Corona viruses have a size of 120-160 nm (nanometers). Here is a small calculation for better illustration
Nanometers, micrometers and the Corona Virus
1 nm (nanometer) = 0.001 μm
120 nm (corona viruses) = 0.12 μm

Fine dust masks do not offer 100% protection against the corona virus! But they can help stop the spread of infection!

The “weakest” (FFP1) fine dust masks filter approx. 80% of the particles up to a size of 0.6 μm out of the inhaled air. Even FFP3 masks filter only 99% of this particle size (> 0.6 μm) from the air. As we can see at first glance, the 0.12 μm are quite a bit smaller than the 0.6 μm particles that the masks can filter. The pure virus would come through the mask.

But don’t panic!

The Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) is transmitted by airborne droplet infection. In the case of infections that are transmitted via the air, the respective viruses, bacteria or fungi are bound to droplets (diameter> 10 µm) or to a droplet core (<10 µm) after the water envelope has evaporated. The fine dust masks can filter out this particle size.
Even the Robert Koch Institute in Germany recommends FFP2 masks for protection
FFP2 masks can protect against infection with the Corona Virus.
The correct fit of the mask is crucial for its effectiveness!
Can I really protect myself against viruses, bacteria and other pathogens with a respirator?
With a little research on the Internet, you will learn that viruses are approximately 0.017 – 0.1μm in size. This is much smaller than any good filter in a mask can filter out.
Nevertheless, a mask can protect against viruses!
Because the transmission of most diseases, such as Flu, is caused by droplet infection.
The viruses are bound to particles from saliva or secretions from the respiratory tract. These particles are around 5μm in size and can be stopped by the filter of the mask.
Not only flu is transmitted through droplet infection. Other diseases such as rubella, mumps, chickenpox, scarlet fever, diphtheria, tuberculosis, herpes and Ebola are also transmitted via droplet infection. Especially for people who belong to a risk group (sick, elderly, children and pregnant women), this can cause serious illness and the disease can also lead to death in individual cases.
Respiratory masks (fine dust masks) are a cheap alternative to an illness!
😉 Avoiding just one cold a year saves you money
Bacteria have a size of 0.6 to 1.0 µm and can also be stopped by the filters of the mask.
A mask can thus protect against the transmission of diseases in several ways
A sick wearer of the mask can protect his fellow human beings from droplet infection.
A healthy wearer of the mask can protect himself against diseases that are transmitted by droplet infection
The mask also prevents hand wiping over the mouth and nose, which can also transmit diseases

Rapid tests for professional use

B2B rapid tests: near-patient laboratory diagnostics in clinics and practices

Bedside diagnostics, point-of-care testing (POCT), has established itself as a constant in almost all hospitals and medical practices.  In medicine, point of care testing refers to diagnostic examinations that are not carried out in a central laboratory, but on site, i.e. in the practice of the resident doctor or a public pharmacy by medical specialists.

In certain situations, such as emergencies, it can also be used outside such a facility, for example in a patient’s apartment or in an ambulance.  The prerequisite is always that the test is carried out by a medical specialist.

We offer different rapid tests for an individual and economically optimized solution in the area of point-of-care testing and have thus responded to the increased demand of the market, especially from doctors in emerging and developing countries.

Seal of approval “Made in Germany” decisive competitive advantage.

The company offers the rapid tests in large boxes of 25 or 50 tests, and customers particularly value the “Made in Germany” seal of approval.

By adapting the company’s quality assurance system as part of the certification of the HIV rapid test HIV-QUICK © as a product according to Annex II, List A, in accordance with the basic requirements of the relevant EC Directive 98/79 / EC on in-vitro diagnostics, the decisive prerequisites are  created in order to use other so-called high-risk products such as  to be able to establish a syphilis rapid test or a hepatitis B rapid test.

 Coronavirus antibody rapid test

The SARS-CoV-2 antibody rapid test can be used as an aid to detect an infection with SARS-CoV-2.  As a rapid immunochromatographic test, it detects Corona IgM and IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in human whole blood samples from the fingertip.

Corona antigen rapid test (PCR)

The COVID-19 rapid antigen test provides direct evidence of an acute SARS-CoV-2 infection within 15 minutes within the first two weeks after the onset of symptoms.  It can be performed by medical specialists regardless of location using a nasopharyngeal or oropharynx swab.

Troponin I.

Troponin I rapid test for the qualitative detection of troponin I in whole blood, serum or plasma samples.
The Troponin I Cassette Test is a rapid visual immunoassay for the qualitative, presumptive detection of cardiac troponin I in human whole blood, serum or plasma samples.  The test is an aid in diagnosing myocardial infarction (MI).

D-dimer

D-dimer rapid test for the qualitative detection of D-dimer in whole blood and plasma in vitro diagnostic use.  The D-Dimer Cassette Test is a visual rapid test for the qualitative detection of D-Dimer in plasma or whole blood.  This kit is intended to aid in the diagnosis of disseminated intravascular coagulation disorders (DIC), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism and is intended for in vitro diagnostic use by professional users only.
